Fudura – Proposition development EV-chargers

Challenge

In order to respond to some important developments in its market, Fudura was looking for new propositions in the field of electric transport. It was not yet clear what position they themselves could take and how the proposition should be developed. They had some difficult vacancies within the innovation team.

Approach

Within 10 days, nlmtd drew up the innovation plan for electric transport using our rapid innovation canvas methodology. Based on this plan, a number of critical preconditions for success were realized. After that, nlmtd led the concept and design phases for the new electric vehicle propositions in collaboration with some of the customer's own employees. Over time, critical roles were transferred to the client after they were clearly defined and good internal candidates became available.

Value delivered

Very fast go-to-market of new proposition (<3 months).  After 6 months we ensured launching customers for two different services. And we helped develop an agile framework within which our client's innovation team to quickly test and sell new ideas in the market.

NL Energy Client – develop data services

Challenge

Due to a growing customer need a few years ago, the client had set up a new data service in a short time. At that time there were unclear work processes, insufficient quality and little overview of customer contracts and needs. In order to get to the full potential of the service the services needed to be solidified.

Approach

We supported the client by:
(1) Guidance in the development of the data service – Develop new price strategy, product conditions, service structure, customer approach and internal processes. In addition, nlmtd has also ensured that standard processes such as sales,invoicing and customer contact have been improved for this service.
(2) Strategy development and go-to-market – As Product Owner, nlmtd was also responsible for the development of services and communication with all stakeholders, both internally and for customers. nlmtd has built a bridge between the business and IT department by facilitating close cooperation.

Stable and professional data service that achieves high quality and increasing revenues with existing and new customers. Part of this was the optimization of work processes, invoicing and customer contact. Go-to-market including value potential established for the most important customer segments.

NL Energy Client – Smart meter roll-out

Challenge

The organisation had decided to roll-out a network for (semi) public assets, including smart meters, public lighting, and energy networks. Budget was tight,planning ambitious and the stakeholder group was large. They asked us to manage this program.

Approach

Develop structured program plan with key milestones,activities, work streams, risks, dependencies and governance structure.
Develop a business case and value tracking tool to manage budget.Setup strong program management office that closely followed progress, budget and raised potential issues to the steering committee to ensure timely and proper decision making. Continuously adjust planning and approach based on new developments.

This program (€100M+) was delivered on time and within budget. All stakeholders were very satisfied with progress and insights during the program.

NL Energy Client – Carve-out plan

Challenge

The organisation was obligated to carve-out certain activities due to upcoming legislation There was limited experience in identifying the impact, approach and overall program management to lead this program.

Approach

Make an impact assessment of the activities and people that needed to be carved out. Develop possible scenarios for the future. Develop a well structured program plan with key milestones,activities, work streams, risks, dependencies and governance structure. Setup strong program management office that closely followed progress, budget and raised potential issues to the steering committee to ensure timely and proper decision making. Continuously adjust planning and approach based on new developments.
